Kentucky fans were all amazed at how we were not picked for the NCAA tournament and even more surprised when low seed Robert Morris trounced us out of the first round in the NIT. But have no fear Wildcat fans, help is on the way in the form of recruitment. The Wildcats have by far the number onerecruiting class in 2013 by adding top PF Julius Randle ,top guards Andrew and Aaron Harrison, top center Dakari Johnson and a plethora of other players in the country.
The only missing piece is landing top player Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins combination of size strength and range will give this recruiting class all it needs to possibly bring home a title next year. Why next year you ask? Just look at Calipari’s coaching profile: last year with the top recruiting class Kentucky won it all having two lottery picks ( Davis and Kidd-Gilcrest) and six draft picks all together. In 2011 the Wildcats made the Final Four and lost by one behind lottery pick Brandon Knight and top Recruit Terrance Jones and finally the 2008 Memphis team with Derrick Rose and Chris Douglass-Roberts. all three of these teams had top recruits and lived up to the hype. Although last year was a minor slip-up Calipari will be anxious to prove it was just that. Along with returning big man Will Cauley-Stein young swing man Alex Poythress and spread the floor big man Kyle Wiltjer the 2014 Kentucky Wildcats will be stacked with talent and poised to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
